WALK THROUGH THE FIRE

If I turned out the lights...
I could still see your face...
its etched in my memory..time could never erase
That smile in your eyes...
the love in your tears...
the innocence murdered still lingers in here..

And If I walked through the fire..
and I burned in the flames...
It could not hurt me as much as the sound of your name..
bouncing off of these walls...
echoing in my brain...
and I would walk through the fire...just to see you again

If I said I was wrong...
would it make you believe...
that I wasn't the hero you thought I could be...
If I confessed my sins...
in this church of despair...
would you kneel at my altar...
would it prove I still cared..?

And If I walked through the fire..
and I burned in the flames...
